Extra dots appear when typing a password into Safari

So...I've been having an issue with with typing in password fields in Safari where extra dots are being added while typing. The effect leaves me unable to log into anything unless I type the password somewhere other than a safari password field and then cut and paste it. It started on my iMac. After chatting with Support I cleared RAM and then everything was okay until I restarted the computer.

Now I have a new MacBook Air and again, everthing was fine until I restarted the computer and now the same issue.

Any suggestions beyond resetting the ram every time I restart the computers?

Thanks for the suggestions. I actually called apple support yesterday. The problem turned out to be the text replacement feature. Apparently it works well with iOS but not MacOS even though the settings are shared through iCloud account across all devices. Weird. Once I cleared all the text replacements I had put in, the problem resolved itself.

If it works in the Safe Mode, try running this program when booted normally and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor.  Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown. If the log won’t post, try posting it in Pastebin and provide a link in a reply. After pasting the report in a PasteBin page, go to the top of the page, and copy the address in the URL bar. Paste that in a new reply.        Pastebin

I actually did all that when I chatted with apple support. Clearing the NVRAM or PRAM solves the issue until the computer is restarted, then it comes back again. When iMac is in Safe Mode the issue does go away but comes back, as I said, when computer is restarted.

I was curious to see if maybe something having to do with my iCloud account might be causing it.
