iPad gen 1
My company has updated our iPads and have allowed us to keep our iPad first generation. It has been reset to original. How am I suppose to download apps onto it as it won’t allow me to do any.

There are still a couple of ways of getting much older versions of iOS Apps for that nearly 10-year old iPad, but many of the popular apps are no longer supported/available for such an old iPad.
For example there are NO MORE popular, compatible, third party video apps or games for that nearly 10-year old iPad.
You can, probably, still load music onto that iPad from iTunes on a computer.
Might be able to get some older sketching/drawing/painting and notes apps and some word processing apps for that old an iPad
Those apps that maybe still available for that old an iPad can be had if you already have newer versions of an apps on a newer iDevice.

A HUGE Disclaimer.
Apps may or may not have older iOS 9.3.5 versions still available from within the iOS App Store.
The availability of older apps for older iOS devices and versions is SOLELY up to the decision/discretion of the app developer and NOT by Apple!
There is no real way to know what older apps are still available for what iOS versions and devices from third party app developers on Apple's iOS App Store servers.
There are a couple of ways to try/attempt to get an older version of an app. Pick the method that works best for your
situation/circumstances.
Also, I wouldn't use that nearly 10-year old Safari Web browser, as it is, probably, not safe and secure to use any
longer, and seek out a third party web browser that maybe still available for iOS 5.1.1.
Other than this, these 2010, 1st gen iPads only got one year of support from Apple and third party app developers only supported this iPad model for another two more years, or so.
If you want to attempt to get apps for this iPad to be able to use it, that’s fine,
but,
you will be sooooo much better off just purchasing your own new or discounted, refurbished personal use iPad from Apple or Apple's online refurbished store, instead.
