Reddit app refreshes in Slide Over

I frequently use the official Reddit app in Slide Over while browsing the Internet or watching YouTube or other video apps. I’ll have it stacked with Messages and/or Facebook Messenger. When I get a message, I’ll switch over to the messaging app, reply, and switch back. When I do this, Reddit will refresh back to the top of my feed. I’ve updated the app several times over the last few months, my iPadOS is up to date, and I’ve uninstalled and re-installed the app, but the issue persists. Any feedback or advice would be appreciated.
