Is anyone else aggrieved that the Apple Watch series 5 misrepresents the fact that the display is always on? It turns off whilst charging, so I can’t see the time. Surely this means the product is not as described...

Well, I guess that’s it for this thread. I’ve got the best it can be, plus a dollop of humour to boot...
Shame there’s not a way to keep the time on-screen whilst charging overnight. Seems like I’m the only one who expected the feature. #surprised

Yeah! But I assumed, especially with the Nightstand (bedside) mode, it would mean it was on all the time and I could just, you know, look at it. This is why I skipped all the earlier generations as I didn’t want a watch that I had to interact with to see the time.
Surely Apple could make it not turn off when charging, it is sold as “Always On”. In the UK we have laws that retail items have to be “as described”.
All you have to do is walk in the room or clap your hands and you will see the time.
Always on except when charging,it's a battery saving "feature".

No the watch will charge faster with the screen off.
