horizontal lines on screen

I just went to plug my IPOD touch in that I just bought in August and it has horizontal lines on it and will not power down.

Lines all over my screen when i woke up this morning, my ipod wouldn’t wake up and once it did, there were loaned all over the screen. it can still function but there are light great lines all over the screen
