Changing FCPX help topic language

Hi all

I'm using FCPX 10.4.7 on Catalina 10.15.1 and the FCP menus are in English, but help files (ie help topics when I search under the Help menus and start typing) are German. I'd like both to be English.

Under System Preferences, Language & Region English is the preferred language at the top. I also have German below English in the Language & Region settings.

I can't find any pointers to changing just the help language to English which is what I'd like to do... does anyone here know?

Here is a suggestion: try to jolt things a bit.

Choose a different language, then change it back. For example, drag Deutsch up, quit System Preferences, launch FCP X.

Quit FCP X, and change to English again.

Thanks Luis, worth a try.

The menus etc switched to German and help stayed in German. Changing back to English as the preferred language changed the menus, but help results stayed in German. I also rebooted in between times to see if that made a difference (system language & menus didn't change without a reboot), but it didn't make a difference. Odd behaviour. It's almost as easy to google as to use help, so not a disaster, but it's a bit annoying!

I grappled with the same issue.

You need to delete the German.

Then change English to any other.

Then Change back to English.

Reboot between each change.

Test before adding other languages.
