Hi,
I have airpods and a lenovo laptop. When I connect my airpods to the laptop, they connect & pair for both voice and music. (See picture attached for confirmation that they successfully connect).
Although my airpods are connected, when i attempt to play music, the sound comes from my laptop still.
Does anyone know why this is or how it can be fixed?

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. I understand you're unable to hear music from your AirPods, as the music is instead playing through the speakers on your laptop. I can help point you in the right direction.
To help troubleshoot the Bluetooth connection on your PC, I recommend following the steps outlined on Microsoft's website through this link here: Fix Bluetooth problems in Windows 10 Then, I suggest to follow the section in this article that says, "Use AirPods with a non-Apple device": Set up AirPods with your Mac and other Bluetooth devices From there, please test and see if you're able to hear music through your AirPods without any issue.
