I have an old iPhone I want to give to my nephew to use but it is registered with my old Apple ID. When I do a password reset it changes my new Apple ID password but does not affect the old one. I want to wipe the phone completely but I cannot without supplying a password for an old and no longer existing Apple ID. Help please?
omg it finally worked. I was able to sign out of iCloud with the new password and the old Apple ID and then it let me factory reset the phone. No help needed!

I couldn’t figure out how to hide the ID so I cropped it. This is the message I get when trying to reset the password using the phone.
if you are the original owner, take the device, the original purchase receipt with the serial number, and a photo ID to the nearest Apple Store.
or contact Apple ID Support. They will need to see the original purchase receipt/paperwork also.
