Updating Apple ID

I just bought the 11 Pro Max and I have a notification badge in settings saying to update my Apple ID. Well I put in my passcode for this phone then it takes me to the next page saying put in the passcode for the Other iPhone. I've only temporarily used an iPhone years ago (for about a week) while waiting on my phone to arrive and then gave it away. I have no idea what the passcode on that phone was. So I have no idea what to do now. How bad is resetting my encrypted data? What will that actually delete, seeing as I've never REALLY used an iPhone?

Well if you don’t know what it is you will need to reset it.

The data that is encrypted might not be as important as you think

Safari can save info, once you get signed into your accounts like iCloud, gmail and Outlook could have info saved too.

You might be surprised just how much info you get back.

Hope that helps.

Well I don't think I have anything important backed up anyways. Like I said, I've barely use an iPhone so there's not much that could have been backed up. I've always used Android so all my actual important info, passwords, photos, contacts, etc. are saved and transfered over to my iPhone successfully. So what happens if I do delete the encrypted data? I'll basically lose nothing, restart my device, go through the setup process again and then everything should be fine?
