migration assistant some files didn’t transfer

After migrating from old to new MBP, Migration Assistant indicated that some files could not be transferred, including some photos. How can I tell which files didn’t make it?

Using migration assistant Well, I’ve followed the instructions and the new iMac is showing the size of the files to transfer. IDs have been paired but the new iMac has the timer showing (revolving colour wheel thingy!) even after an overnight wait. What have I done wrong? TIA.

Migration help I did a partial migration from old Mac to new Mac, only applications, now I'm trying to migrate the rest of the data minus photos and the tool is making me override the first migration. Is this normal or did I do something wrong?

PathFinder from CocaoTech https://cocoatech.com has a file compare/sync function. That's what I use. PathFinder has a short free use period. I find it a hugely useful tool.
