How do I remove "live photos" from all my photos using Icloud?

How do I remove "live photos" from all my photos using Icloud? I know I can turn off the live feature on individual photos on my phone but i have over a thousand photos so I need a way of removing it from multiple photos at once.

Do you just want to disable the Live Effect, or do you want to save storage by removing the video component? Turning the Live Photo into a still frame will just temporarily disable the Live Effect. It will not save any storage.

And you can only do this, when you open a photo in Edit mode. (Edit Live Photos on iPhone - Apple Support)There is no shortcut, other than downloading the Live photos to a computer. When you sync them back with iTunes, the Live Effect will be removed. Or transferring photos with My Photo Stream to another device will remove the video component.
