changing color highlighting when switching between windows within an app

Hello, I'm using F10 to display all the open (and perhaps recent) windows within an application and then using TAB to toggle through all windows including those that are minimized (command + ` doesn't allow this).

My difficulty is that the blue color highlighting those files as I tab through them isn't clear against my background -- have to really squint to see which file is highlighted. Ideally, would want that to be something like bright orange. But color setting in general preferences doesn't seem to affect this.

Any ideas if it is possible to change those colors or else to toggle between windows in some other way?
