Text Input Switcher Crash

Has updated to Catalina for 8 days. The text input switcher and the text input menu agent keeps crashing. After I force exit them on Activity Monitor, I can switch the input again. However, the battery percentage will reduce very quickly and the fan starts working even no any application in progress. And this keep happening all the time.

Hey there Kevinlbh,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. I understand you’re having some performance issues after updating to macOS Catalina. I’ll be happy to help.

See if this occurs in safe boot or a new user account to isolate and possibly resolve this issue:

How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac

Do an SMC and NVRAM reset on your Mac and see if this helps:

Let me know if this helps.
