Help With Gmail Links Problem, Please

When using Gmail on my iPad and clicking on a link in my mail, the link will open but then change to something that looks like a letter format. In that letter format there is no way to do anything but read it. For instance, I get an email from a company that does estate sales and they show photographs in their email. When I click on the link for the photographs it goes to a letter format with words only. Or in an email from a real estate company, I click a link for one of the properties advertised, it goes to the same letter format and does not let me see the photos, I just get text in a letter-type format. How can I fix this to go back to the way my mail links used to work, please?

Hello,

Thank you for these screenshots. This view is called Reader View. It reformats a web article to be easier to read. You can disable Reader View by pressing the aA button (see attached screenshot.)

Hello,

You are very welcome!

Which step are you needing clarification with?

Open the Settings application > Tap Safari > Tap Website Settings > Tap Reader View > From here you can adjust this website to either automatically enable/disable Reader View.

You know more than the folks at the Apple Store here! It sort of works. When it goes to the reader view and I press the A on the left nothing happened. I tried that several times back-and-forth and it didn’t seem to work. But then there is something below that that says hide reader view and when I click on that it goes back to the original format which is great! I can continue to do this every time but I’m wondering if there is a way to just make it permanent so I don’t have to click that hide reader view button each time. At any rate, as I said, “you know more than the folks here!” I sincerely appreciate your help.
