SOLUTIONS for JBL bluetooth speaker connecting to mac (bluetooth speakers not connecting to mac).

I had trouble connecting my macbook pro (updated) with my brand new JBL GO 2 bluetooth speaker.

PROBLEM: I couldn't see the speaker in my bluetooth bar.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION: shift+alt > Bluetooth icon > "Debug" > "Reset the bluetooth module".

This worked in showing the speaker in the BT bar thereby, I could connect it.

Therefore, I simply hold down shift+alt when I click the BT bar from now on.

HOWEVER, another problem arose:

PROBLEM: Now I couldn't hear the sound, even though it was connected.

REASON: It didn't automatically choose the speaker for the sound output, like it usually does, so you can just do it through the sound settings, like you would do with HDMI connections etc.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION: "System Preferences" > "Sound" > "Output" > "JBL GO 2".

I hope this helps other people, as the other posts in here didn't find solutions.
