Message on my iPhone reads ‘Undo Read’ with options of ‘Cancel’ or ‘Undo’ but no option takes away the message.

Thanks for tip about turning off Shake to Undo (in IOS 13: Settings / Accessibility / Touch, then turn off Shake to Undo toggle). In case that doesn't work for you (and I hope it does), you can always close Mail and re-open. Kind of a pain, but it works.

To make that go away without re-booting, you have to hit "cancel" many times..eventually, your screen re-appears. To make it go away permanently, go to settings>accessibility>Touch> then turn off "shake to undo"

Thanks, it worked! It has really been annoying me.

So, I shook and and got 3 options and one of them got rid of the Error Message. Then I went to Settings/Accessibility/Touch and found the 'Shake to Undo' button on. I had no idea there even was one! So I've turned it off: problem solved.

I turned off “Shake to undo” as a fix. Not a feature I ever use anyway. At least not intentionally.

I had the same issue. Go to Settings/Accessibility/Touch and disable shake to undo.

I'll pick up my iPhone and try to open imail. There's a blank screen with a window that says Undo Read and the options to Cancel or Undo. Mail is frozen until I try to fix it -- If I start tapping undo, like a dozen times or more and gradually the inbox fades in, and then the Undo Read window finally disappears. What's up with that?

I have had this same bug since I updated my iPhone XR to IOS 13.3.

I am not able to enter the Mail app after this screen comes up. I can go into other Apps, but not the Mail app.

Pressing the Cancel or Undo button does nothing.

I have to restart the iPhone to be able to access the Mail app.

Yesterday, I had to restart my iPhone XR 3 times during the day to clear the bug.

It is a totally stupid feature and a pain that shows up on my screen for no particular reason. What makes it worse is neither button does anything when I press it.

What ever genius MBA over at Apple who thought this would "add value" should be driving an uber.

The only way to resolve it is to slide up the window to close the program and reopen email. Total PAIN - APPLE please decimate this feature in your next software update.

When I put my phone in my pocket with mail open, this dialog comes up. The longer it’s in my pocket, the darker the background fades and the more times I have to hit cancel with the darkened background getting lighter with each tap. Most annoying bug I’ve ever seen on my iPhone.
