Messages Showing “Open” on Lock Screen (iPhone 8)

Good day guys,

Would you be so kind as to assist with deactivating the “Open” pop on my Messages.

It used to be that when I receive a message while the phone was locked, I could just tap on the message, scan my fingerprint and I would be taken straight to that message. Now there’s an additional pop up on the left of the message which says “Open”. I have to click this pop up for the message to open. This started happening after I reset my settings🤦🏾‍♂️. Please help. I have attached an illustration below.

iPhone 8, iOS 13

Hi MsiraxTheApplist,

I understand you're having trouble with opening Messages from your Lock screen and I want to help.

Have you set up your iPhone with Touch ID again since resetting your settings?

You can set up Touch ID here:

Use Touch ID on iPhone and iPad - Apple Support

You can change what can be accessed on the Lock Screen with the info here:

Change access to items when iPhone is locked - Apple Support

View and respond to notifications on iPhone - Apple Support

Let me know if that helps.
