Whenever I try to call on FaceTime, I can never seem to connect

Whenever I try to call on FaceTime, I can never seem to connect. I’ll try calling, and after about two or three seconds, the call either hangs up, or says FaceTime ending. I’ve tried articles and other techniques but nothing seems to work.
