Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
My phone is not receiving sounds or vibrations when a text is sent when in lock mode. The notification is there, but doesn't alert me. It is not even sending it to my watch. But when my iPhone is open, I receive alerts. What is going on?

Okay, so the only thing that is going wrong is that you are not receiving Message notifications when the phone is locked, and they are not being received on your Apple Watch. However, if the iPhone is unlocked, you are receiving notifications on the iPhone. Is all of that correct? Are you getting any notifications on the Watch when the iPhone is locked?
Check sound in:
Settings>Sounds&Haptics>Alerts>Messages...
then
Settings>Notifications>Messages...
then restart your iphone.

Sorry, but that was not helpful. I did all that and more and still not getting the alerts.
Have you checked to see if your device is in Do Not Disturb?
Is your Watch in Do Not Disturb mode?
That is kind of the direction I was going in, or Theater Mode, but I wanted to see if the Watch was getting any notifications.
To answer both of you, I do not get notifications on my watch as well when the phone is locked. And my watch is not in Theatre mode, or silent modes. I have checked them all.
OK, a different tack - do you have cellular data turned on?
When you say silent modes, I'm guessing that you are referring to DND and also Mute. Those are two different settings.
