I have an iPad Pro with usb-c port and would like to use it with an external hard drive. When I connect it, it shows up in the files app under its correct name, but when I try to access the files, the loading wheel spins for a while and then it just says 0 files.
has anybody else had this issue?

Apple states that FAT32 drives are compatible however I have never been able to get it to work. From what I've seen on here, about 5% of people who try using a FAT32 drive on iPad are successful. Hopefully this will be resolved in a later system software version.
