Best way to select image/object stacked in a Pages doc

I sometimes build 3D-looking spheres and boxes in Pages 8.2.1, and there can be 12 or so layers on top of one another. Is there a way (like Keynote's Object List) to easily select a layer that is 5 layers deep under an image? I hope that makes sense.

Pages is not based on Keynote, so no. Why are you not using a dedicated external vector application (even if it is the free GIMP) to do your n-tuple layers?

There are exactly two layers in any version of Pages: foreground and background — unlike application's that support multiple layers, (e.g. GIMP, Affinity products, Photoshop, etc.). I can drop a three layer Photoshop .psd file into Pages, and those layers are not accessible.

The following was done in Pages, but is only on the foreground and background layers:

Thank you, VikingOSX. Yeah, I'm realizing now that I'm trying to use the wrong tool for the job. I'm so out of my field with this 3D stuff that I had to look up what a vector is just now. I'm realizing I have to dust off my old Photoshop app and use that (a "How To Create a Colorful Glass Ball" on YouTube looks like a good starting point for me).

It was fun to start this process in Keynote and Pages, but yeah, time to switch apps. Here's what I did just with Pages. Thanks again for the help.
