Maximum events limit prevents me syncing Outlook calendar on my PC with iCloud for the first time

I am trying to sync my Outlook calendar on my Windows 10 PC with iCloud (after iTunes no longer works for syncing). However, I get a message saying "iCloud accepts a maximum of 138 events". Apple says however that it accepts up to 50,000 so that can't be right? Help!

Hey KiwiBird47,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! I understand you're getting an alert with iCloud.

I want to share the resource below with you as this goes over the limits for iCloud. The total number of calendars, events, and reminders is 50,000. Is it possible that you would be approaching that limit and only have space for the 138 additional events? You can check out more on those limits here:

Limits for iCloud Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, and Bookmarks

Thanks again, and have a great day!

I am having the same problem: iCloud App on Windows reports that iCloud can only accept 12 events! This is with a newly created iCloud account and so is clearly unrelated to the total number of events.

This is obviously an Outlook / iCloud App incompatibility problem. Looking around on the internet, many people have encountered this software problem, but as yet I have not seen any recommended solution/workaround for this serious problem.
