iMovie (10.1.14) projects on an external hard drive disappeared after deleting iMovie preferences

I save iMovie (10.1.14) work on an external hard drive. This morning I deleted iMovie Preferences by opening iMovie holding the control command keys and clicking "Delete Preferences". iMovie is now not showing recent projects.

Anyone else had this happen? Were you able to recover the disappeared projects? Thank you!

When you delete preferences iMovie opens in a new library with nothing in it. You just need to reopen your old library to get back to your projects.
