phone doesn't recognize QR codes on tickets so I can add them to my Wallet

I'm trying to add 2 tickets sent to my iPhone that have QR codes. I want to add them to my Wallet but all I get is a Safari search message. The I click on that I get an error message that the page cannot be found.

iPhone 8, iOS 13

From what you have described, the QR code is recognised by your iPhone as it prompts you to open it in the Safari. The issue is that whatever is the URL address stored in the QR Code cannot be accessed on your iPhone.


I suggest you try another trusted Wi-Fi Network so. If you have another iOS Device where you are signed in to with the same iCloud account, try to add those tickets using that device and sync your tickets to your iPhone.

Already did that and they said they have had no other problems reported on their mobile tickets being added to iPhone wallet using the camera process per the Apple guidelines. In fact the person I was dealing with brought up my ticket on her screen and added it to her iPhone wallet without a problem. So the problem is not in the QR code or the ticket provider's system.

Also I just tried adding an airline ticket's QR code to my wallet and it worked fine. I've also printed out the ticket in question and unsuccessfully tried adding it to wallet using the QR code.


I tried it with my iPad 7 on another wireless network AND on cellular only with the same result. Gives me a URL address but when I click on it I get the same "no page" error message.


To me, this looks to be an issue with the URL link behind QR Code.

Did that person used the same Wi-Fi Network as you did? Or did they use an Internal Network your iPhone has no access to it? Maybe link behind that QR Code is accessible from their Wi-Fi only…
