Can Catalina read from and write to a Raid 1 Disc?

I have several Raid 1 external HDs, as well as some regular HDs. I believe Catalina has removed the OS ability to format or repair a Raid HD. But, can Catalina at least read from and write to a Raid 1 HD?

Mac Pro, macOS 10.12
