16-inch Macbook Pro
10.15.1 tethered capture with Canon 5DMK4 bodies worked fine with C1Pro 20 and 12 as well as Canon EOS Utility.
After 10.15.2 update EOS utility just hangs and crashes and C1Pro cannot access cameras for tethered shooting. Tested and confirmed broke with Canon and Fuji bodies.
uninstalled/reinstalled C1pro and EOS utility.

After about 2 hours at phone with Apple Support Italy here the results:
We have created a new Administator Account on my MacBook Pro and magically everything returns to life, tether my A7rIII works with every app installed (Sony Remote, C1Pro 20, Lightroom 9.1, Darktable). So Apple Support tell me that maybe there's something wrong with permission in my account.
So we turn back to my account and tried to reset permission with this procedure:

then I restarted my Macbook.
C1Pro 20 and Darktable finally see my Sony and now I can work again
The only one app that doesn't work yet is Sony Remote, but this is another mistery.
Indeed, it works with wifi and it is very very slow !
I hope nevertheless that Apple will repair the problem....
Apple has not cared about professionals for a long time.
I am not surprised at how slow it is to fix a problem like this.
They prefer to sell earpods !!!!!!!!!!
I’m not sure that’s quite right. You are basing in an older version version of the utility. It worked fine with 10.15.1 but the latest update broke tethering. Canons latest utility v3.11 works fine on my MacBook running 10.15.1 but broke on 10.15.2. Not only for the EOS utility but the tethering has broken for other applications with Adobe. See the latest utility.
I can also confirm that Catalina 10.15.3 fixes tethering in Lightroom Classic CC. My Canon 6D showed up right away like it did under Mojave. This is using the Apple USB-A to USB-C adapter with my MacBook Pro 16".
It confirms that the problem was not from Canon, Adobe, Sony... or a 32bit problem.
Tethering capture works now with the update, and zero word from Apple... 😕

Agreed. I'm glad we finally have a fix , but as a professional photographer tethering is the main function for my 16in MacBook Pro so it was rendered useless for well over a month. Not good enough Apple.
I also work with tethering capture, and was really disappointed before Christmas. I take photos on Christmas events and people buy direct printed pictures. I take RAW photos with Canon EOS Utility + Lightroom, and had to use Wireless to transfer pictures. That was very slow, I had to modify my workflow and say to people "please come back in 10 minutes to take your picture". That's just inacceptable !!
I can also confirm on my Canon EOS 100D it now works again. Amateur, compared to most of the professionals in this discussion.
I have to say, sadly, I did not expect any word from Apple: that would have been admitting how big they’re scr**ing things up lately.
Backing up now, making sure I have a time machine recovery point to go back to, should something similar happen again.

The camera are connected with usb3 (port on macbook) to usb-c (port on Camera).
Same here with my Sony A7rIII, impossible tethering in C1Pro 20, Lightroom Classic 9.1 and even Sony Remote app.
I've tried everything.
Same problem here in France with my Canon EOS 6D / 7D. Does not work anymore in Lightroom, EOS utility and others.

Apple screwed other developers into taking blame for crucial functions being broken by their update.

Try to create another administrator account in macOS Preferences, reboot, login with the new user and try the tethering with your camera...does it work?
