I did. The response: “The device has been released from DEP. Have a great day.“ Nothing indicated the device was changed in any way. I was unable to do anything with the device. I inquired of the administrator again. Response: “My suggestion is to do a device reset. The device did belong to us at some point. We are not expecting it to be returned. Enjoy the device. There is nothing more I can contribute to this issue.”

What now? Put in DUF Mode? Ask the administrator for the former (?) credentials for the iPad? (His last comment seems to inform me he will contribute nothing else).
