Question

I’m trying to install Catalina 10.15.2

I have a 2017 MacBook Pro which has been running Catalina well since I installed it. When I tried to install the update, it downloaded, installed, then gave me the “restart your computer” message to finish the installation.

My computer restarts, shows the progress bar on the startup screen, and when I login, the software update window is still there and the badge icon showing there’s an update remains.

Any ideas?

try it from Safe Mode.

Thanks Grant,

I’ve tried it now from safe mode and event uninstalled Norton’s wondering if it was blocking the install.

I’m wondering if the original download of the update is corrupt? If so, where would I find it to delete it and start the process from scratch?
