iOS update

Hello,

When I start a new text and type in “Dan,” whom is in my contacts with his number and his wife’s number under the same contact it will combine the text message now? I’ve tried to separate them as separate contacts but the same thing happens? This all started after the last 2 IOS updates.

iPhone 6s, iOS 13

iPhone Contacts Issue Hey All, We have an odd issue happening with my wife’s iPhone. For some reason, it is combining the text messages of two different numbers and contacts into one message thread. So, whenever I send my wife a text or my sister sends her a text, it combines them. She never knows who she is replying to. Obviously, it’s a real problem when she accidentally texts my sister something that is meant for me. We have tried deleting both contacts and starting from scratch. No matter what we try, the contacts end up sharing identical names and combining themselves into one thread. My wife has an iPhone 8+ with software version 13.3 - this has been an issue with previous versions too, but she didn’t bring it to my attention until recently. thanks for your help.

I Phone 13 max pro I am losing names of contacts when I add a new contact. Text messages remain although a contact number shows not the contact name. Help?!

Contacts merged With the new update, when I try to text my husband’s work phone, it has merged his iPhone and his work phone (two different numbers) and I can’t chose which number I am texting to...? Anyone else?

Did you delete both contacts, restart your device and then try again?

Do they share an Apple ID? If they do, that could be causing this behavior. It started with iOS 12.

They do not share an Apple I.D.
