Brand new 13" MacBook Pro: When I try to install updates, I get a message telling me to go to my App Store Accounts page to accept the updates. Huh? I can't fine an "Accounts" page that allows me to do that.

Searches yielded nothing. Help!

Hi Hineni,

Try this, go to Store > View My Account. Then click Accept.

It seems like this occurs when you have a new Mac that has certain apps (Keynote, Pages or Numbers) pre-installed, but you have also purchased them at some point in the past. So you are "adopting" the pre-installed ones to your Apple account.

I hope this helps.

Hi Hineni,

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.

If it's Pages, Keynotes or Numbers you are trying to update, what I would do in this case is delete those apps and redownload them from the Mac App Store. Once you do this, you can download them from scratch.

Deleting the applications themselves won't affect any files you created using the applications. Once you download a fresh copy your issue should be resolved.

I hope this helps.
