My imessages keep telling me there is an error

how do I use iMessages on my iPod every time I try to log in and open it it says an error has occurred and won’t let me use it

imessage my imessaging isn’t working & it’s been 24 hours, i bought this phone 2 days ago now & ever since i’ve set it up it’s saying there’s an error on imessage & im not sure how to fix it, i’ve called apple support & they’ve told me some things i can do but none of it has helped

I keep getting an error message when trying to use iMessage on my daughters new iPod. It will not let me log in. My daughter just got a new iPod for Christmas. When I try to log in to send an iMessage I keep getting an error, iMessage activation failed. When I look it up all I see is to turn messaging off and on , but that isn’t an option.
