Is there a way to past a list of text such as a grocery list into the app and have it separate each line into a checkable list like in the previous version of the reminders app?
Like before copying:
Celery
Tuna
Onions
and pasting it into the app would make not one checkable line but 3 but I haven’t figured out how to make it do that in the new version.

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities tripler3ed,
I see that you have a question about creating a checklist. I can understand wanting to be able to do this, and I'd be happy to help.
You can use the Notes app to create a checklist on your devices. The first link is for creating a checklist on your Mac and the second link is for creating a checklist on an iOS device.
Use Notes on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Hope this helps.
Have a great day!
I'd use Numbers or LibreOffice.
Free LibreOffice, it handles MS Office files…
