After Catalina Install hp mfp 127 will not scan

HP printer will print but scan options gone after Catalina install. Where . is the driver that allows scan?

Image Capture is a built in app in your Applications folder.

Here is a link to the HP support site, https://support.hp.com/ca-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-laserjet-pro-mfp-m127-series/5396666/swItemId/mp-166618-13 you can download the latest version of HP Easy Start to see if that makes a difference.

Also try resetting the printing system. Read this, If you can't print from your Mac or iOS device – Apple Support

I don't know what Image Capture is. How do you use it?

The printer panel from the Catalina Apple System Preferences shows the IP Address for the printer, a icon of the printer, open print queue, and options. No name like Image Capture. No mention of scanning.

In the previous print driver, scanning and printing both had sections.

Before Catalina the Apple Software for this printer downloaded and showed both scanning and printing in the Apple System Preferences.
