Email and password

When I try to add my iCloud email account to another platform (e.g Gmail) I get the message ‘username/password is incorrect’ yet I am definitely entering the correct email address and password. I have also tried entering the details manually but no success.

Email problem I’ve recently have been dealing with my emails not being able to send because my username or password for iCloud is incorrect, I’ve tried many things to make it work again, does anyone know how to solve this?

unable to open icloud because of invalid email Every time I turn on my desktop, icloud opens with an old email address and an invalid password. I have changed/updated my email and password with Apple (both are valid), but icloud opens up every time with old email and it won't let me do anything. I get a spinning wheel for hours. Thanks for any help!

You need an app specific password.
