Hi PaulinVT,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I'm glad to help with seeing your FaceTime app icon.

Just to be sure I understand, are you referring to seeing the FaceTime app icon in the Dock on your Mac?

If so, it's possible for apps to appear in the Dock, even if they aren't started. This makes opening them a handy shortcut so you don't have to search for the app.

Check out this article for how to add and remove items from the Dock:  - Use the Dock on Mac - Apple Support

Let me know if you have any questions about this.

Best Regards.

Hi PaulinVT,

When you say "SpeedBar", are you referring to the Dock on the Mac?

If you remove the FaceTime app icon from the Dock by dragging it off the dock, does it reappear?

If it does reappear is someone trying to call you via FaceTime? This article explains how a FaceTime call can be made to your Mac: Use FaceTime on your Mac - Apple Support

Let me know more details, if this doesn't describe what you mean.

Take Care.
