Why does my iMac have different Ookla Speed Test results than my iPad?

When I use the Ookla Speed test on my iMac it shows in excess of 100 Mbps but when I use the Ookla Speed test on my iPad Pro it shows around 15 - 22 Mbps. Why are the results so different?

It may be a question of how each device is connecting to the internet. For example, my iMac is directly connected to my Comcast router via an ethernet connection. Very fast. My iPad is, of course connected via wifi. The Comcast wifi output has two speeds. The iPad connects to the slower output, but works just fine. So, I would check to first make sure that both devices are using the same wifi from the same provider. Then see if their allowed connection is the same. Good luck.
