After updates to IOS my apps are not installed and will not reinstall
Why are apps previously installed on iphone not installing after the IOS update?

Well, you're asking us to guess a lot as you have provided absolutely no information whatsoever about your operating environment.
We don't know what model iPhone you have, what iOS version you were using, what you are updating to, how you are updating, or what app(s) you are referring to.
Perhaps you're out of iPhone storage.
Perhaps you're using apps that are no longer supported.
etc., etc.
