Subtitle Size Problem

Out of the blue, my custom subtitles on BOTH our Apple TV gen 4's shrank in size. I have them set to large, but they are actually being displayed at medium. When I go into settings to edit custom subtitles, if I play around with text size, changing from extra small all the way to extra large, the size displayed doesn't actually change, it just stays at medium. No matter what I try (short of a full factory reset, which I did recently before this started and I'm trying to avoid doing again), I cannot get the subtitles to change size. Anyone else have this issue?
