I speak 4 languages so I use different accents all the time. Until recently, all I had to do was hold on the key for a second and then all the different accent options would pop up but now, when I hold a key, the letter just repeats. How do I fix this?

An alternative way to make accents in case you can't get the Character Picker to work right away is via Option Key shortcuts.
