I keep getting an error message telling me that catalina could not be installed

Catalina downloads onto my computer just fine, but when it starts the reboot, I get the same error message:

"Some APFS state information was unexpectedly unavailable. : (-69461)"

It tells me to quit the installer to restart my computer and try again, and I've done this, time and time again, and gotten the same message, time and time again. I have a 2019 MacBook Air that I bought a month ago, so it's not too old for the update. Please help!!
