Trying to update watch 2nd gen to 6.1.1 and it verifies then cannot Install. I’ve followed instructions to remove and reinstall, updated and restarted phone and even wiped watch and reloaded. Keep getting message “unable to install update”. Any ideas

I solved mine. My phone that it was paired to is running a managed security protocol. It was blocking the installation. To solve the issue, I unpaired the watch from my phone. I then paired it to my wife’s phone and did the update. It went righ in. Then I paired it again and repaired it with my phone. Bingo!

What version of Watch OS is presently on your watch?
I seem to recall reading that there is one version of 5 that is kinda stuck and can't be updated easily.
My issue seems to be fixed , i may be wrong but after i commented on this forum, i got the version 5.3.4 to upgrade my watch on instead of 6.1.1

I called Apple and tried to resolve it over the phone. Told me to go to the Apple store. I’m holding off due to the holidays. It’s a bit nuts there
Where did you read this? I have 2 new series 5 watches and they both won’t update! Like what are the odds 😩
Maybe once they replace a new watch OS this problem will stop!
