have siri play apple tv audio through HomePod

Often when I turn on Apple TV it uses my TV set for audio, rather than my HomePods, which I chose in the Apple TV settings. I then must manually reset, using the audio pull-down menu at the top of the screen. Is there a way to

  1. Set up the Apple TV so that it always defaults to sending audio to my HomePods, or
  2. Using "Hey, Siri" to change the audio from TV to HomePods?

HomePod, iOS 13

No it is not. It is simply an airplay speaker that can be used with Apple TV, and that is what will occur with any such speaker. In order to not have that happen it would require a physical connection to the TV.

You will have to change that output back each time, but if you want to do that via Siri instead you can give feedback.
