Hello, my iwatch 4 has started randomly constantly syncing. How can i make this stop?
Apple Watch Series 4, watchOS 6
This started happening to my Apple Watch 1 series sport when I upgraded phones to the i-phone XR.
I contacted Apple support and discovered that there is a recent iOS upgrade to 13.6 (issue was occuring with 13.5.1).
I'm happy to say that following an update on the phone and a un-pairing and re-pairing exercise the watch is working as expected (so far).
I never had MFP and mine did it. I have been watching the posts on here and avoiding commenting as I feel it'll bring back the sync issues, but I have not had issues in a couple months. I don't know the rhyme or reason behind any of it... But I do remember the pain of it happening all the time and I did a hard reset a couple of times. Anyway.... I hope y'alls pain fades back into the abyss like it never even happened... And not a SINGLE person from Apple has commented on this thread and it IS an issue... I WISH I didn't like Apple stuff so much more than the pain of this BS...but I do, so there it is, LOL Like a marriage that has more love than hate, but on those hate days...OOOOH you could just kill! LOL
As an update, I just updated to the SE phone from the iPhone 7 Plus and have had zero issues with my watch. I’m not sure if it is something to do with the iPhone 7 and series 1, but this syncing was incredible annoying and inconvenient.
Started doing it to me today, random rebooting several times an hour sometimes, iPhone 6s plus. Thought the phone was stuffed, then my apple watch series 1 started the wheel of misery too. I have messed around with Google timeline, photos and backups to iTunes but no idea whether that has anything to do with it. Wonder if it's anything to do with the Covid tracking crap Apple is forcing on us?
I am now on week 2 of my iphone 11, and so far so good........though I almost didn't want to say anything about it (ha ha). Amazing how much longer my watch battery lasts without syncing multiple times per day!
This started a few weeks ago from - not sure in relation to what upgrade I might have done. It has progressed though to twice a day sometimes! This is beyond frustrating - my phone has also begun cutting out randomly while I am browsing or entering a query into safari. Also running "hot" I sometimes just shut it down to be sure it will cool down. Has Apple helped anyone with this?
I am having the same problem a lot of y’all are having and mine keeps on getting worse. The only thing that differs is that I have the 3 series watch and a iPhone X. I’m going to try and remove messenger and see if that helps
iPhone 7 and Apple Watch 4 SS. Randomly my watch will show the sync screen that is stuck on 6 bars I believe. It won’t progress. I have to reset the watch . So irritating. It happens in the middle of a Strava ride and I lose the data.
What is syncing?
Songs, pictures? There is nothing else really to sync.
And once they are done, they are done.
Nope. ios13 and apple watch 6 SUCK SUCK SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It seems this problem isn't happening for you and you don't know what others are going through. This solution does not help.
Now mine is doing the same thing, same combination of apple products. Did you find a solution?
I'm downloading the newer iOS (13.3.1) onto my iPhone 7 now; will share any updates as I notice improvements or changes!
Do you mean that the watch is syncing the media periodically/automatically?
I didn’t have the photos sync to my watch so maybe not - but anything is worth a shot!
So far, so good with my series 1 watch (on software 4.3.2) and iPhone 7, running iOS 13.3.1 - the random, daily watch sync seems to have stopped.
