MacOS update

how can I get the new update MacOS Catalina cuz Im still on Mac 10.13.6 and I want to update it even more but I can why not ??????? I don't have a lot of money to buy a new one

Depending the mac you have, you can or can't upgrade to mojave.

Find out what Mac you have:

  • Go to the apple-menu, top-left, and select the first line: about this mac. The window that pops open tells you first your system version (that's not interesting), and secondly what mac it is:
  • Check on the page posted previously wether your machine is going to work with the planned upgrade.
  • If so, make sure your Mac is powered and has a stable internet-connection.
  • open App Store (Should be the second menu-item under the apple (top-left)
  • You may have to log in with the Apple-ID you've registered the mac with...
  • search for Mojave, click install (or download)
  • follow instructions, be patient (read a book, make a drawing :-) ).
