my print function from email is not working.

It opens up the window to "print" then doesn't let you cancel or actually print when I click the button. In addition, I can't seem to force quit the email application. Any thoughts other than unplugging it?

Mac mini, macOS 10.14

Let's start with this...

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
