Loading content to print

For some reason, trying to print an email gives me the message "loading content to print" which simply hangs. I went to the viewing tab and unchecked the 'load remote content' tab - and the email will print, but without any embedded graphics (like bar codes which I need to pick up an order at a local store). First time I've encountered this. Any suggestions? Thanks to all.

Boot into Safe Mode according to Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support and see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and check again.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 10 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

Old issue, new issue, what changed?

Sounds like it could be a temporary server issue. You can contact your mail provider fro known issues, or simply try again at a later date.

See if there is anything here: Print emails in Mail on Mac - Apple Support

If IMAP the same email should be present on the phone—and no reason to print to a hard copy...(?)

or take a pic using you phone.

I've been getting by with unchecking 'Load Remote Content' in Mail preferences. Then, when the email comes up, I hit the little box to load remote content. Sometimes it works, other times not. Not sure if this is a sender issue or an OS issue.

If no further insight or resolve you can file bug report using this same link:

Tried that - but the remote content didn't load in the email on my phone. Funny thing - while once again trying to print this email, I waited until the content (finally) loaded to print - but when pressing the print button, nothing happened (same with the cancel button). I finally had to force quit Mail.
