Cannot Print from iMac

Since I bought a new 27" iMac and restored my data from my Time Capsule I cannot print. The data on the Time Capsule had been backed up from my older 27" iMac.............that had Fusion/SSD. The new one has 100% Fusion. New iMac came with Mojave on it so that's what I restored to. I waited about 3 weeks then upgraded to Catalina. After LOTS of difficulty with Microsoft Office 2019 for Home and Student I was able to get it to work okay. Same for Classic Solitaire. But when I go to Settings/Printers & Scanners and try to Add a printer it brings up my printer, and when I click on it it just sits there. I cannot delete a printer, nor add a new one. Apple blames it on HP, HP blames it on Apple.

iMac 27", macOS 10.14
