Dark background won't show the word cursor

Although Pages support Dark Mode, but it's not the real dark mode because we cannot type in black background and white words,

when I manually change the background color to black and the words color to white, the cursor won't change its color so it's hard to see.

Please Developer add real dark mode for people want to Edit in black background.

The normal, Apple provided Pages v8.2.1 downloadable from the Mac App Store in North America has no dark background capability, and as such, is not keyed to change its document, and margin backgrounds, or their default text colors based on the current appearance mode.

Neither Apple leadership nor product teams participate in these fellow user supported communities, so you should use the Provide Pages Feedback menu item on the Pages application menu.
