Catalina Update & iCloud problems

I can't get into my iCloud account since I update to Catalina, still receiving the same "error connecting Apple ID", what can I do?!

Are you running any anti - virus programs? Using a VPN?


Some people have solved this by going to System Preferences/Internet Accounts, selecting an iCloud account there, and signing in. You need to repeat this for each iCloud account.

Thanks guys for your help, nothing worked. Even under safe mode.

I manage a solution by creating a new admin account on which my iCloud credential finally worked, transfer back all my data from the cloud and restoring from my personal backup. Really long process... but finally alright despite I lost few emails stored on my previous session....

You are welcome. Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.


Does it work if you boot into the Safe Mode?

If it works in the Safe Mode, try running this program when booted normally and then copy and paste the output in a reply.
