I can no longer log onto my iCloud account under Mac OS Catalina. It says that there is an 'unknown error'. How can I fix this? THanks

Remove login items from users and groups , there could many reasons using extensions , system preferences is corrupted , or even Mac OS is corrupted if various unknown apps / softwares / anti virus / VPN services are installed , take suggestions from apple support Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support
